Wessex Ridgeway Relay

 Gillingham Trotters Running Club

Route
The course uses the Wessex Ridgeway that runs for 100km across Dorset from
Tollard Royal to Lyme Regis. It will be split into 12 stages of length between 3 and 9
miles. The route uses some of the most exposed terrain in Dorset.

Navigation
The competitors are expected to navigate the course without assistance from marshals.
The route is waymarked, and route descriptions and maps will be provided. It is
strongly recommended however that all runners perform a reconnaissance of their
stages before the event.

Teams
Teams must be pre-entered and must consist of between 2 and 6 runners. An entry fee
is payable for each team member.

Finish
The finish will be at Uplyme Village Hall where there will be showers. Included in
the entry fee is a meal at the finish for all competitors.

Safety
Please note the following, since it does not conform to the standards required for a
conventional road race:
 - No lead vehicle.
- No sweeper.
- Course is unmarked. You are expected to recce the route before the event.
- Marshals only at the start, finish, and dangerous road crossings.
- No water (teams are expected to be self sufficient).
- No medical cover.
- Teams are responsible for locating their runners if they get lost.
